Back 4 Blood makers do without deliberately on popular LEFT 4 Dead Modu

You will only be able to play the back 4 Blood campaign in the coop with each other and not against each other. But there is another PVP mode.

Back 4 Blood strokes a popular Left 4 Dead mode, but there is replacement

Officially no versus campaign: Unlike Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, the Story campaign can be played exclusively by Back 4 Blood. That is, you can not experience the entire story as with the old games in two teams against each other, while a team idabei plays the infected.

This was officially confirmed by developer Turtle Rock Studios. On a corresponding question, whether the popular mode from the LEFT 4 Dead titles also find its way into the spiritual successor back 4 Blood, was decidedly answered with "no". The answer and the support now also belongs to the FAQ on the Discord server (via: reddit).

But why not? A justification was also supplied directly. One of the main reasons is therefore in the equipment of the Cleaner as well as the special infected infected ones, which exist in back 4 Blood. Both would be better suited to defense:

"We have a lot of defense equipment and our specials are good in the backup. Defend works much better for our game than racing from A to B."

Time was also important: Creative Director Phil Robb has also brought slightly more light into a comicbook interview. According to him, the time has played an important role. In addition, the developers did not just want to make exactly the same as Left 4 Dead.

Suppose: It just takes too long to play the campaign in versus mode against each other. Instead, the studio wanted to build a way to enable shorter, faster PVP battles. That's exactly what the new PVP mode called Swarm. He relies on 4V4 matches in which a team as a cleaner and a team as a ridden, so infected start.
