Bloodborne brought a new life on PSX

Bloodborne is widely regarded as one of the essential titles of the PS4. Although it offers a slightly different combat loop from the Souls game series, the Fans of FromSoftware and beginners in the genre praise the game. With the remill PS5, the proposed suite and the PC port at the Horizon, it will be presented to a massive group of uninitiated players. Especially since GeForce Now is available on Xbox, theoretically allowing playable game, Bloodborne is about to become much more popular.

Bloodborne arrives in most systems but is not available for a particular demographic group; Retro players. The developer Lilith Walther is looking to change that.

Bloodborne PvP - Beast Claws+Embrace

Bloodborne PSX is a Demover of the 2015 title, complete with PlayStation 1 screening and everything. The game even offers the emblematic playstation start sequence and sound effects. It s amazing to see the opening of Bloodborne, as well as the character s creator in basic what looks like a low-poly mode. The animations are charming, while remaining coherent.

The Demake was made in the Unreal engine, which is not so faithful to the reality that we would like it, but it is surprisingly close to what would look like a rendering of the game on the official material. It would be theoretically possible to create a portage that would work on official hardware, but the content should be cut even with reduced textures and models because the PlayStation 1 used a CD-ROM that could only contain 650 MB of data. The 2 MB of RAM also mean that the disc should read continuously, and even more data should be strongly compressed or cut.

Although it is essentially a modern retro style game, Bloodborne PSX is always absolutely incredible and could arouse nostalgia for those who were fans of the system at the time while allowing a brand new experience Soulsborne.
