Darkest Dungeon 2 arrives at anticipated access next week

Darkest Dungeon 2 is the long-awaited continuation of the 2015 RPG, and on the basis of its new trailer, it seems that it will expand the world and rely on the predefined bases by its predecessor.

Darkest Dungeon II - Road of Ruin - Early Access Trailer

Developed by Red Hook Studios, Darkest Dungeon 2 had to be launched this year. Fortunately for those who have been waiting for this game for some time, it has already been confirmed that it will arrive in advance access on Epic Games Store on October 26. Unfortunately, there was no word on the cost of the game, but the purchase of the game in its anticipated state of access will give players the full game once it has been officially published.

The recently revealed trailer of Darkest Dungeon 2 ends with a mounting of enemies burning, stabbed, then stabbed again, and poisoning the poor team of adventurers players during their trip. There is a carriage that takes players through different environments, including a courtyard that shows a fire castle, a village and a dark and rainy forest. The trailer also presented some of the playful characters and their respective skills, such as The Grave Robber, The Hellion, The Plague Doctor, The Man-At-Arms and The Highwayman.

Although it follows the original game, Darkest Dungeon 2 now has a Roguelike type gameplay, which seems to be a big step forward compared to the exploration of the dungeons of the original title. In addition, the fight was also poorly reworked. Yet the basic spirit of the franchise is always present.

His arrival on Early Access next week is received as a combination of good news and bad news for most Darkest Dungeon fans. After all, anticipated access programs are known to allow players to buy a game even if it is still in development. By definition, the game may not be complete once bought. On the other hand, the fans will have the chance to play the game before it is officially launched in its final form of the players. That said, anticipated access is considered a great option for developers to finance their game simultaneously while measuring interest in it.
